The CHEO Dream Home

White oak benches, a Dekton-topped coffee table, a kidney bar table and floating shelves for "The Oasis", the CHEO Dream of a Lifetime home by Minto.

Scope: Custom furniture
Style: Modern Belgian farmhouse

"The Oasis" was designed as an escape: a calm, neutral palette, light-filled rooms, natural wood and soft textiles. The interiors by Tanner Vine Interiors and Karen van der Velden of Minto Communities called for furniture that would disappear into that calm.

We built five pieces for the house. As parents and makers, a home raffled to support CHEO is the kind of project we say yes to before the drawings arrive.

The Dining Room

An upholstered white oak bench

In the dining room, an upholstered bench in white oak brings the family side of the table together, softer than chairs and easier to slide in and out of.

The Living Room

White oak and Dekton

The coffee table pairs a white oak base with a Dekton insert, natural warmth under a surface that shrugs off glasses and feet. At the entry, a white oak waterfall bench sets the tone the moment the door opens.

The Bar & Shelving

A kidney table and floating shelves

A kidney-shaped bar table with a matching base gives guests a place to gather. Decorative pedestals and floating shelves carry the display and storage the rooms needed without adding visual weight.
