Winter 2024

Zoé and François imagined a warm, generous restaurant. Cubiq Architecture drew it. Our job was to build the pieces that would make it real, from the harvest table at the centre of the room to the trims around its doors.

First meetings in summer 2023, production in the fall, delivery and installation in winter 2024. Everything handcrafted in Gatineau in grade A wood.

The Table

Twelve seats in white oak

The centrepiece is a twelve-seater harvest table in white oak, reinforced underneath with C-channels so it stays flat and solid through years of service. The channels sit where nobody sees them; the lines above stay clean.

The Buffet

Maple, built for glassware

A maple buffet with sliding doors on smooth hardware and removable maple shelves. The shelves were spaced for glasses of different heights, so the staff can reorganize as the glassware changes.

The Details

Rattan panels, a reception module, arched trims

Between the banquettes and the buffet, rattan and maple panels add texture and a measure of privacy. At the entrance, a built-in reception module in HDF holds menus and welcomes guests.

The arched door trims are black-stained white oak, built in three sections from a custom template so the curve lands exactly. The black stain brings up the grain and sets off the lighter tones of the room.
